Day 5: One Belief

Dear Reader,

I stumbled upon a copy writing book that you’ve probably never heard of, but it’s one of the best copy writing books I’ve ever read.

The book is called… “The 16-Word Sales Letter”, by Evaldo Albuquerque (© 2019).

First of all, I was skeptical about the title of this book. It sells for $39.99 on Amazon. And it’s a flimsy little 91-page paperback.

Second of all, the title suggest that a 16-word sales letter is responsible for earning over $120 million dollars in 2 years.

I thought to myself… “pie in the sky. Yeah, right.

But I bought the book anyway.

Here’s what I learned right away. The author uses a 16-word copy writing formula… not a 16-word sales letter. The title is misleading. But the formula is legit. One hundred percent legit.

Here’s the 16-words:

“The secret to converting copy is to define the one belief, then answer these ten questions.” – Evaldo Albuquerque

I don’t want to get sued, so you’ll have to buy the book for yourself… but here’s my one belief statement for 3 Things™.

Expanding your marketing knowledge (the opportunity) is the key to career advancement and earning more money (the desire), and the fastest way to level up is by subscribing to 3 Things™ (new mechanism).

The opportunity leads to a desire for the new mechanism.

After reading the book, I decided to test Evaldo’s formula on two clients. And let me tell you, I had a copy writing and messaging breakthrough with them.

Then a couple days later, I received the email below from Google with Gmail’s one belief statement:

So, I’m telling you… dig deeper into how to write a one belief statement. Buy and read Evaldo’s book.

Or… enter to win his book and seven other great copy writing books this month from 3 Things™.

Good luck,

How to Make Influencer Marketing Work For You in 2021

Full disclosure, I’m a skeptic of influencer marketing. I always thought to myself, how do you translate the vanity metrics (impressions, likes, and comments) from influencer marketing into revenue. But this article from Think with Google gives me hope. Google lays out a framework (and mindset) on how to approach influencer marketing. This article is a must-read if you are currently investing in, or considering investing in influencer marketing.
